I returned to the United States in 2003 and purchased my first repar lathe, a Mid-size Cuesmith lathe. Although the lathe was slightly used, with a little help from some friends, the lathe was running like new. In 2005, I converted my first house cue into a two-piece "sneaky pete" with no finish, just a wood sealer, which I still have tucked away in a case to this day. Since then, it's been all up hill! Although Zimmerman Custom Cues is primarily known for cue repairs, I have built about a dozen cues ranging from "Sneaky Z's" to "Wrapped Z's" to "Pointed Z's. As of June 01, 2007; Zimmerman Custom Cues is officially opened for business.I will be repairing and building cues part time, along with running the pro shop, attending college and maintaining a family.
