| We offer various billiards merchandise, billiard instruction and pool cue repair to our customers. We founded and direct Zim's Rack 8-Ball League and the Gateway Amateur 9-Ball Tour as well as organize and direct Pool Tournament Fund Raisers for companies, groups or organizations trying to raise additional funds. We will do everything we can to promote the growth of the cueing arts! |
| Gateway Amateur 9-Ball Tour 2007 |
The Gateway Amateur 9-Ball Tour is an amateur tour in the St. Louis/Metro East area created by Zim's Rack Billiard Promotions in 2005. The 2007 Tour Season will consist of one tour stop and qualifier tournament each month with the final tour stop an invitational tournament with a point system used to track individual players progress. We will also be hosting six Open 9-Ball Tournaments through out the tour year. We have sponsorship from all over the U.S. with a percentage of sales going to the final tour stop. Players will have to qualify to play in the final tour stop. There are two (2) ways to qualify: 1) Finish in the top 64 in the point standings. 2) Compete in 10 of the first 11 tour stops. There is a $20 membership per tour year to play on the Gateway Amateur 9-Ball Tour! Each tournament has a $40.00 entry fee with an optional calcutta. Each tournament is a $300.00 Added Event and the final tour stop will be minimum of $1,500 added money with money building up each month from sales and the players. The actual added money will be announced prior to the event. Pre-Order the GAT07' Membership Card! NO A and ABOVE RATED PLAYERS ALLOWED! The Gateway Amateur 9-Ball Tour is for Amateurs ONLY! The Tournament Director has the right to refuse and remove any entry without refunding money. ********** New for 2007 ********** Points Race Points will be awarded for participation in the Tour Stops (excluding Qualifiers and Sweet 16s) and accumulated during the Tour Season. Each player will earn 5 points for participation and 2 points for each round they win. This is a little different than GAT06, but will make the points race much closer. We encourage participation in all of our events and have decided to payout an additional $1,000 (divided between the top 4) to the points race after Tour Stop #11. See Payout for more details. This should encourage more players to come to each of our events to earn points. Qualifier Tournaments Will be held each month for B and Below level players only. The entry fee for these events will be $20 and one for every ten entries will receive a paid entry into the next Gateway Amateur 9-Ball Tour stop (membership required to play on the Gateway Amateur 9-Ball Tour, but not the Qualifiers). You are not eligible to play in a Qualifier if you have placed in the money in a Tour Stop Event. Check out Format for more information. Sweet 16 Tournaments Will be held every other month starting in October 2006 and is open to ALL level players. The entry for these events will be $100 (covers all fees) and is open to the first 16 players ONLY. Play will take place on 9' tables, there will be a calcutta, no points are awarded for these events. Check out Format for more information. We have six (6) host pool rooms for the 2007 Tour Season.
