| Zim's Rack 8-Ball League is an independent league created in 2005 by Danny Deiters and Michael Zimmerman and is maintained by Zim's Rack Billiard Promotions, owned and operated by Michael Zimmerman. Our league was created for the future of our sport of the cueing arts. We believe that a fair, user friendly handicap system is required to operate a succesful and fun billiards league. There are various other handicap systems currently being used by other leagues; however, we feel our system is the most effective. It is fair to ALL level of players, easy to calculate, merely impossible to sandbag without damaging your teams overall standings. Our main goal for this league it to create a league environment that is fun, friendly, the matches are completed at a reasonable time, sessions are shorter, the players and sponsors are satisfied and will return the following session. Each division offers three sessions per year; Winter, Spring and Summer. Teams qualify to participate in a League Championship Tournament by playing in the Winter and Spring sessions. Many players have other activities that they participate during the Summer, therefore our Summer session is really available to keep the players playing pool. Money accumulates during the Winter and Spring sessions and is added to the League Championship Tournament, which will be held in early Summer.
