| We at Zim's Rack are excited and eager to bring Zim's Rack Amateur Pool Tours to players and pool rooms across the United States. We are currently searching for qualified people to become Tournament Directors in areas across the midwest. We promote amateur pool by offering a competitive tour system that allows players to compete with similar level players at a local level. We plan to have multiple tours across the US running individual tour seasons with a Final Tour Championship (FTC) tournament with thousands of dollars added to the payout held at one location. The Gateway Amateur Tour (GAT) started in 2005 and is going strong. The 2009 season starts in October with our first Qualifier at Baxters in Fairview Heights, IL on October 11th! The Paducah Amateur Tour (PAT) and the Springfield (IL) Amateur Tour (PAT) were unable to secure enough host pool rooms to have their own tour. We will continue as planned for the 2009 tour season with only the GAT and continue to market other regions for the 2010 tour season. At the end of the tour season (September 2009), we will have a Bonus Points Payout with 20% of funds collected going to the top 10% of tour members and 80% added to the FTC. Each Tour will accumulate cash funds from host pool rooms, participation from players, sales, and raffles. Each Tour should bring $4,000+ to the FTC. The 2009 FTC is projected to have over $10,000 added to the payout. More info can be found under our links section on the left. |
